Sharanya Manivannan is the author of The High Priestess Never Marries, which was shortlisted for the Tata Lit Live! Award for First Book (Fiction). She was specially commissioned to perform an original poem at the 2015 Commonwealth Day Observance at Westminster Abbey, London, to an audience which included the British royal family. She is also the author of a children’s picture book, The Ammuchi Puchi, a poetry collection,Witchcraft, and writes a column, “The Venus Flytrap”, in The New Indian Express. Her next work is a book of poems, The Altar of the Only World.
