Ruskin Bond

Ruskin Bond is the author of many novels, memoirs, short story collections, books of essays and poetry, including the popular classics: A Flight of Pigeons, The Blue Umbrella, Time Stops at Shamli, Night Train at Deoli, and Rain in the Mountains. His first novella, The Room on the Roof won the John Llewellyn Rhys Memorial Prize (1957). He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award (1992) for Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra. He is also a recipient of the Padma Shri (1999) and the Padma Bhushan (2014). His latest work is his memoir, Lone Fox Dancing.
