Pema Abrahams

Pema Abrahams is the recipient of a British Library grant to catalogue and digitise 100,000 documents from the Sikkim Palace Archive of the years 1875-1975. She is the founder of Project Denjong, a collection of initiatives focused on facilitating scholarship and encouraging creativity amongst Sikkim’s youth. Pema has also founded Mahalaya Journeys, a social travel venture working with local communities to preserve and strengthen knowledge of the wisdom culture and sacred landscapes of the Sikkim Himalaya. She is a former international human rights researcher, advocate, and development professional whose work focused on human rights, gender, and conflict.
