Max Rodenbeck

Max Rodenbeck is South Asia Bureau Chief for The Economist, based in Delhi. He has written for the paper since 1989, and as The Economist’s Middle East bureau chief from 2000 to 2015 reported on varied wars, revolutions and uprisings as well as the failed Arab Spring. A frequent contributor to the New York Review of Books, Mr Rodenbeck is the author of Cairo: The City Victorious, a portrait of the Egyptian capital.
