Dr. Chencho Dorji
Dr. Chencho Dorji is the first Bhutanese to become a qualified psychiatrist. A recipient of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship award, he is a professor of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Post-Graduate Medicine, Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan. He also works as a senior consultant psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital. He has published a number of articles on mental health and epilepsy, and is a founding member of a number of CSOs in Bhutan including the Disabled Persons Association of Bhutan, Chithuen Phenday Association for Recovering Addicts in Bhutan and the Bhutan Nuns Foundation.
