Daniel C Taylor
Daniel C Taylor is recognized for giving a definitive explanation for the century-old mysteries of the Yeti or Abominable Snowman through his book Yeti: The Ecology of a Mystery. He was awarded the Order of the Golden Ark (2004) by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands for his work on international conservation and knighted Gorkha Dakshin Bau III (1990) by HM King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah of Nepal for his work on Nepalese conservation. He is the president and professor at Future Generations University, a scholar and practitioner of social change, with notable achievements in community-led conservation and global education. He has founded seven parallel Future Generations National Organizations all over the world as well as the USA-accredited Future Generations University. He has led eleven survey expeditions in the natural resources of Gama Valley, Tibet (1992-2016) and has been a part of explorations in Himalayan summits (twelve first ascents), Himalayan rivers (two first descents) and Mount Logan, Yukon territory (first ski descent).
