Charmi Chheda

Charmi Chheda, a performing arts director and facilitator, works with the Royal Academy of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Home and Culture, Bhutan. She has written and directed around fifteen plays for the Ministry, UNICEF and a number of Bhutanese NGOs, such as RENEW and YDF. The poem, Mountain Echoes, written and directed by Charmi was recited by Dasho Tshering Tobgay, the former Prime Minister of Bhutan, during the Mountain Echoes literary festival (2017). Charmi uses theatre as a tool to create awareness and transformation in Bhutanese society.
