Charmi Chheda

Charmi Chheda, a performing arts director and facilitator, works with the Royal Academy of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs, Bhutan. She has written and directed several plays for the Ministry, UNICEF and Bhutanese NGOs, such as RENEW and YDF. The poem, Mountain Echoes, written and directed by Charmi was recited by Dasho Tshering Tobgay, then Prime Minister of Bhutan, during the Mountain Echoes festival (2017). Charmi uses theatre as a tool to create awareness and transformation in Bhutanese society.
