Glimpses of Mountain Echoes 2016 Literary Festival
Bhutan will celebrate the seventh edition of Mountain Echoes 2016 Literary Festival from August 26-28, 2016 in Thimphu, Bhutan. It is an initiative of India-Bhutan Foundation in association with Siyahi, a literary organization.
The festival brings together some of the greatest literary minds who have shone in their respective fields. Also many photography exhibitions and workshops will be held during the three days of the festival. The festival also includes acclaimed authors like Amitav Ghosh, Amrita Tripathi,, Meenakshi Reddy Madhavan, Paro Anand and many others from India and Çiler Ilhan, Jan Cornall, Jean Noel Orengo, Natsuo Miyashita and others from around the globe. The festival also announces the inaugural edition of Bonfire Tales, which is a cultural journey on a motorcycle to the Phobjikha valley in the impressive Black Mountains of Bhutan and then onto the warm climes of Punakha. Also as venues are located across Thimphu, Mountain echoes will help you to perceive different parts of the beautiful city. For all literature and cultural aficionados, this festival will be a paradise.
